Woodware Challenge – Inspired by a Man

We are pleased to again be playing along with the CraftyCard Makers this week, the challenge will be open on their blog for two weeks. If you would like to play along with us please check the Crafty Card Maker rules then use the link on the Crafty Card Makers Blog to add your card or if you are not a blogger yet you can e-mail your card to me as usual Dorothy@woodware.co.uk  and I will post it and add it to the Crafty Card Makers Blog.

The Challenge is hosted by Feebs, and this is what she has to say…

It’s Father’s Day on the 16th of June and  I’d like to see anything you’ve created for or have been inspired to make by the father figure in your life. It could be anything from a card, a scrapbook page, a knitted scarf or a piece of altered art. It does not have to be specifically for Father’s Day (I don’t want you spoiling a surprise for anyone) but let us know the inspiration behind your work.

So here we have Siobhan our Recovering Stampaholic first this week. With a covered book and card for her Dad.

First we have the card, Siobhan has used the Stampendous Cling Rubber Tree Poem, I love the sun set that Siobhan has created behind the tree. The background has been embossed with the leaf sprig from the Stampendous Perfectly Clear set Summer Leaves.

I love the stamp and the way that Siobhan has added the sun and then complemented it with the circles for the greeting and the Card Candi.

To go with the card is a covered notebook.

Siobhan has used the same stamp but has given it a very different look. I love the resist background and the use of the border from the Jumbo Hollyhock Cling set.

I am sure that Siobhan will have explained how she got the background look over on the Recovering Stampaholic blog.

This is a lovely gift for any man, Siobhan’s father is fond of trees and has wood turning as a hobby so this is especially appropriate for him.

So pop over and check out the rules and play along with us on Crafty Cardmakers you have two weeks to add your card.

Thanks for visiting today, see you soon.
