Cards with Colour Blocks – Day 3

Today we have a card from Jane the Flower Girl

Jane says that she has been inspired by 60’s fashion, it is strange how or minds work and where they take us!

Jane has used one of her new stamps which will be hitting the shops any time now.

The stamp is JGS477 Football Boot Set.  Yes you spotted it Jane’s ball is very close in size to her boot.

The words are from the same set.

Jane has used Shrink Plastic for her boot. It has been stamped on white shrink plastic and then coloured with Sakura Colouring Pencils.

Now if I was making this card I would have just cut some coloured card and tried to get it stuck on straight, but Jane has done it properly!

Start with a quick sketch and work out the sizes of the the panels. Cut 5mm strips of white card and use them to space the colour blocks. Three colours are perfect for this style of card, and it really is perfect for a male card.
