Shaker Cards – Day 5

Here we have another Christmas Shaker card this time from Kim.

Kim has cleverly used the negative space from a Stampendous die, and no foam tape!

Well who could use foam tap around this snowflake?

Kim has started by stamping the background card with the largest snowflake from the Delicate Snowflakes Jumbo Set. I am not sure how Kim does it, but I would have to do my stamping and dies cutting and then trim the cards to get my layers perfectly lined up. I love the contrast between the rustic kraft card and the shimmer of the gold embossing powder.

The die is called Snowflakes and works with both the Delicate Snowflakes and the Snowflake Trio.

To hold the shaker bits Kim has used acetate and taped it into a pocket, leave the top open until you have filled the pocket and fill it well as some of the pieces will try to hide! Kim has used lots of things to fill the pocket Shaved Ice, Glass Glitter, Gilded Mica and some tiny punched stars.  Don’t forget to seal the top of the pocket!

The greeting comes from Francoise’s Traditional Christmas Greetings Clear Magic set.

Kim has used Silicone Glue to join her layers together this allows the filling in the shaker part to move, and makes a nice card.

Yes Kim has an extra card over on her blog.

  1. Not that clever Dorothy like you l have to stamp things first and then trim to fit. That’s why I never know how things are going to finish up like xx
