Shaker Cards – Day 2

I always love to use my Dylusions Stamps so here we are, what I think is an unusual shaker

I am really please with how it has turned out, now I just have to decide who to send it too!

To make my shaker section I used one of the new tag top punches, and the 2 inch circle punch

The Tag Top Punches have size guides to help you cut strips, the punch just does the top and so it can be as long as you want it to be.

First I stamped with purple Crafters and edged with Bark Crafters.

The stamp that I have used comes from the Dylusions set Basic Backgrounds.

Then I glued my acetate on to the back of the card, next the hard part…

add the strips of foam tape around the circle, (this is when I was thinking why didn’t I use a square punch?) It is important not to have any gaps, I have cut the strips of tape in half.

Then I added my Daddy Long Legs

and the words are from the Woodware Just Words collection Growing Old I have stamped them of white shrink plastic and then attached them with  small primary brads, so they do move

I have added tape around the rest of the tag.

then add your sparkle, I have used the Glass Glitter and Color Fragments from the Purple Embossing Jewel Frantage Kit and some beads from my stash.

Then attach the other tag to make it a sealed tag.

Next I stamped the words from the Laugh ’til you leek Cling Rubber set. I have stamped it on paper from one of the Mini Creative Journals.

I wanted to have the filling ‘spilling’  from the shaker, so I marked the background where I was going to attach the tag sandwich and used Glossy Accents to get a nice trail of sparkle.

hopefully it looks as if the marbles are escaping!

I have used the Woodware Scruffer around the edges and have added some dotty organza ribbon which I have tied and then zapped with the heat tool.

Thanks for visiting see you soon!
