Woodware Wearable Art – Day 5

Here is my take on Wearable art, lucky for me we have just re-introduced a product that I really like Style Stones

1

they are perfect for lots of mixed media projects, and are great for wearing.

3

They are made from cultured stone, they are either natural, white or coated which makes them cream. They can be coloured with inks, paint, alcohol inks, or heat embossed… the possibilities are endless. Her I have used gold Color Solutions Alcohol inks.

5

I have stamped on the plain side the stamp is Francoise’s Clear Magic Old Letter using Crafter’s ink.

7

I have used Aged Copper Frantage Embossing Powder on the words and around the edges.

6

the necklace can be worn on either side.

10

this one has been inked with Crafter’s Barn and then Frantaged.

9

with a plain back.

2

The Frantage, is just a mix that I have.

8

this one has an interesting back.

But Style Stones don’t just stop there

12

Francoise has decorated this MDF frame  with the Sewing Sampler stamps papers and style stones.

14

they have been cooured in lovely bright colours

13

love the way that you can get bold colours in the carved pieces.

So what would you do with Style Stones?

Thanks for visiting see you soon!
