Mirror Crack’d – Challenge Shadow Box – Day 3

This month we are again sponsoring the challenge over on the Mirror Crack’d blog.

The theme this time is Shadow Boxes, and today we have Jane the Flower Girl with an amazing frame that she has made.

Jane has created his wonderful box to protect her floral punch craft work, but I think that it has got lots of possibilities.

I had trouble getting my head around Jane’s instructions so I have had a go myself.

If you start with the size of your base card that needs the frame.

Cut 2 pieces of card the the same width as the top and bottom of your base card and then 2 pieces the same for the sides.

Next punch the short edge and make a score line (I have made pencil marks so that you can see)

Cut the card 24cm from the score line.

Score at 2cm intervals and fold concertina style on all four pieces of card.

Stick the outside together

Weave the 2 sides together and glue the top and bottom.

Really effective and really quite simple.

and a perfect home for the flowers.

The stamp is one of Jane’s Hours Fly By Clear Magic stamp.

You will find some extra pictures and a longer explanation over on The Flower Girl Blog.

Remember to check out The Mirror Crack’d blog to see the other Shadow Boxes. Thanks for visiting see you soon!
