Woodware – Retirement – Day 3

Jane Gill the Flower Girl has used one of her new stamps to make a pretty retirement card

The stamp is Daisy Panel a stylised flower in a frame. Jane has stamped and embossed the image, and then used ink pads and the direct to paper technique to colour the background.  Jane has then used Tombow brush markers to colour the flowers.

The white Sakura gelly roll pen adds highlights and detail to the flower heads. Jane has used the Stampendous Perfectly Clear Retro Alphabet set to stamp the greeting in purple. I think that this is my all time favourite alphabet set, why? because it doesn’t have to be straight, that and it includes upper and lower case letters!

Jane the Flower Girl has made a lovely job of colouring and adding dimension to the card.

Jane thinks that we focus on men for retirement cards, I think that women never retire!

Thanks for visiting see you soon!

  1. What a beautiful card. I love the deep colours and this new stamp design is gorgeous. The flowers seem to really stand out because of the way it has been coloured.
I think the blooms and buds could be layered or paper pieced too as Jane has made them a nice easy shape for cutting out.
