Woodware Challenge – Quick Christmas

Over on the Woodware Blog this week the theme is Quick Christmas, these cards are very quick!

I used Lynell’s Power Pasting Technique to do all of the pasting.

Power Pasting is a term used for pasting more than one panel of card at a time.  I cut my card so that it is very slightly smaller than the stencil. Then securing your stencil with stencil tape to your Hot Stuff Mat using the stencil tape as a hinge. Slide the card underneath the stencil. You can paste around 4 card panels before the paste builds up on the stencil and you have to clean it.

For this card I have used the Dreamweaver Pearl  Embossing Paste on both the Star Dream Christmas Tree and the greeting.  While the paste is still wet add the glitter. I have used the Stampendous Teal Micro Glitter. This glitter is lovely and fine and the colours really shimmer.

Then set aside to dry. Trim the panels and round the corners with the regular corner rounder

I have edged the layers with silver ink pad. I used double sided tape to attach the layers and finished off with a piece of shriveled 32mm organza ribbon.

The navy card was left over from wedding invitations the main card is the aqua recycled cut in half scored and folded.

One of my cards had the tree cut out, but only because I messed up when I was trimming the card!

Thank you for visiting us today see you soon!

  1. I love the term “power pasting” – conjures up all sorts of images Dorothy! The navy and aqua is a lovely colour combination. Looking forward to other interpretations of “quick Christmas” during the week…
