Woodware Challenge – Layers set by Scrappy Jen of Wear Crafts -Day 6

Today we have the welcome return of Siobhan  the Recovering Stampaholic, not that it has not been fun having Kim with us for the past month, and Kim is with us this weekend in Chinnor, Oxfordshire as we are all there doing retailer training.

Siobhan has used layers of ink through stencils and also stamps and embossing as well as card for her layers.

Siobhan has combined sections of the Delicate Frame and the Opto Checkerboard for the background and then added some stamping with the scroll from the Holyhocks a Jumbo Cling set this has been embossed with Aged Aqua Frantage powder.

The focal point of the tag is the Weathervane another Dreamweaver Stencil. This has been pressure embossed and then coloured with the stencil in place (remember you can run your stencils through your Big Shot or Cuttlebug).  Siobhan has embossed the charm from her stash with gold powder so that it fitted in with the look.

The Stampendous words Better Travel are perfect for the weathervane, which shows the way home, especially as Siobhan has returned after a year living in Canada.

Welcome back Siobhan, and thanks again to Kim for joining with us for the month.

I thought the travel words worked quite well (trying to think out the box!!) The little compass charm was embossed with gold powder to make it fit better. Hope this is OK!!

Thanks for visiting!
