Dreamweaver and Woodware are Hopping…… Day 3

and we have prizes too!

Welcome to the annual Dreamweaver and Woodware Christmas in August extravaganza week! Monday through Saturday we will be knocking your Christmas stockings off with fun and inspirational ideas for the upcoming holidays. All that you need to do is hop back and forth across the “pond” on each day, oohing and aaahhhing as you go, and leaving us plenty of holiday love. In return, you’ll be entered to randomly win one prize package for a UK commenter, and a second prize package for a US commenter, featuring products distributed in the UK by Woodware…including Dreamweaver and Stampendous!

Prize includes four   stencils, one die, and two stamps, selection may vary.

Today we have a card from or guest Kim (not that I think guest really sums up Kim I think friend is more appropriate)

Kim has used the new Dreamweaver stencil Merry Christmas (that will be with us very very soon, we are naughty teasing you like this)

Kim has used Mixed Media Inx to colour the Merry Christmas these pigment inks from Colorbox are a really creamy pigment ink that has a long working time, so makes them perfect for blending, Kim has used her stencil brushes for applying the ink. Kim has then added Crystal embossing powder to add Christmas sparkle!

For the background Kim has used one of Jane’s new stamps Poinsettia Flourish

The Poinsettia has been stamped, embossed and painted with the same inks on the gingham paper, very nice and very clever, the way that the image goes over on to the stencilled panel, but Kim has not coloured that area so that it doesn’t detract from the Merry Christmas.

The background panel of the card has been stamped and embossing in white and then sponged with the  Patina Mix’d Media Inx. Polish the embossing with a damp tissue to remove the ink.

Well I hope that you are inspired by Kim’s card today as I am, remember to comment to be in with a chance of winning!

Now’s the time for you to leave a comment and move on to the next designer for today:

  1. Kim, I love the way you have used the Poinsettia Flourish stamp as a background on this spectacular card. The colours are lovely and makes me think of frosty days.
