Woodware Challenge – What a Wonderful World! – Day 5

Here we have another version of A Wonderful World the theme chosen for us by Japonica Jan from the song title.

Jane the Flower Girl today sharing her Wonderful World, what do you think Jane was inspired by?

Yes I am sure that you guessed it would be a flower.  When I first looked at the picture I thought that Jane had cheated and had glued a flower from her garden on to the tin! It is a fantastic rose!

Jane has used the super (blue) heart punch. This makes a life size rose.

Punch out ten hearts, for each flower, once you have the hearts punched  you can use a chalk ink pad to edge the hearts, the chalk will give you a nice soft mat finish which suites the rose.

Then group them and use some Crafty Glue to stick them together.

4 hearts

3 hearts

2 hearts

1 heart.

Curve the petals at the top to give you the correct shape.

Then form the four sections into cones.

Fold up the bottom of the single heart, as in the picture.

On the cone made with 2 petals and the one with 3 petals cut off the bottom once they are rolled.

Then starting with some of the Crafty Glue in the centre of the largest cone glue them inside each other.

Jane has used the Heart shaped Scrapbook in a Tin which works so well with the Heart Shaped Doilies, which Jane has coloured with ink. The Maidenhair fern punch around the edges adds lots of movement to the tin.
I hope that you have enjoyed this peek into Jane the Flower Girl’s Wonderful World.
