Woodwware Challenge – Cats and Dogs

Well this week I expect a dog card from Siobhan, but I am sure we will have cats from Pam and Jane, Francoise I am not sure about, and well I have no idea what I will do!

So to start us off we have Jane the Flower Girl, and yes some cats.

First Jane has got out her stencils and paste.

Jane has used the Dreamweaver stencil Cat Watch and used the white paste through the stencil.

I hope that you can see here the depth that you get from the metal stencil and the paste.

The thickness of the metal stencil is part of the reason that they work so well through an embossing machine, the quality of manufacture and the designs are a bonus!

Jane has allowed the paste to dry and then put the stencil back in place before adding colour from an ink pad. To add the markings and the whiskers use a fine tipped pen.

Jane’s second card uses one of her own stamp sets

Meet Forbes and Friends  Jane has stamped them and then coloured with Tombow pens finishing off with a Micron pen to add the detail.

I love the shiny noses, to get the look, use Glossy Accents or a Clear Glaze pen. You can see from the closs up how easy it is to colour the cats.

Jane the Flower Girl, has a picture on her blog of Merty, the cat lodger, that they have at the moment, he is quite a character.

Thank you for visiting I hope you pop back to see the rest of the cats and dogs this week.
