Woodware Challenge – Backgrounds – Day 2

Today we have a background technique from Siobhan the Recovering Stampaholic.

Here is Siobhan’s finished card the stamps are all Stampendous Cling Rubber and are the Mermaid, the Spiral Shell and the Heavy Conch.

The technique that Siobhan has used is called Ghosting. The shell were stamped with white pigment ink, when the ink is dry add the colour. You can use a heat tool to speed up the drying time. The colour has then been added to the background at this stage. Siobhan has used and assortment of cats eyes for this, but the Surf’s Up Cats Eye Queue would be ideal if you have to buy some inks.

Siobhan has then over stamped with Aqua Pigment ink. To increase the dimension on the background Siobhan has used a first and second image from her shell stamps.

Here is a close up of the mermaid. With a touch of Frantage around the bottom.

Thank you for visiting today pop over to get more details of how Siobhan has created her background.

See you soon!
