Woodware Challenge – Sketch 23 – Day 4

Today we have Crafty Debs with her take on the sketch

Crafty Debs has used the lovely Mermaid Cling Rubber stamp by Stampendous the card is a 6 x 6 inch square. This stamp is crying out to have a touch of Frantage and shimmer, Debs has stamped in black pigment ink and embossed in detail clear. Then break out the Mica Palettes and use them to water colour. I like to use a water brush when I use the palettes give them a spray with water from a Spray Bottle to dampen all of the colours before you start and then just paint with a wet brush!

Frantage is perfect to add shimmer and shine to the under water wonderland. Debs has used  Pearl Mica flakes, Shaved Ice & Champagne Glass Glitter. The swirl of dots are Peacock Liquid Pearls (very steady hand Debs!)

I love the twists of 7mm organza ribbon in olive green and baby blue, has the feeling of seaweed, and swirly fronds.

Here is a reminder of the sketch

So if you would like to play along please do! You can find out how too here.

Thank you for visiting, I am off to have a rant on Deb’s blog now!

  1. Wow – really beautiful Debs. The twisted ribbons to look like seawead is an inspired idea! Just love all the little details you have included – and now I want this mermaid stamp too!
