Woodware Challange with a Twist!

Hello we have something different for you this week…

We are sponsoring the challenge over on the Crafty Card Makers this week, so we thought we should just play along with their choice of topic (gives my brain a rest), so if you blog please use the link on the Crafty Card Maker’s blog to add your card and if you don’t if you e-mail your card to me and I will post it here and add it to the challenge, but check out the rules as we are playing by the Crafty Card Makers rules, good luck and thanks for playing.

We have all been busy with the challenge which is A Tag or Card and a Matching Gift Bag kicking off the week we have Crafty Debs

Crafty Debs has used the Stampendous Jumbo Cling Rubber  Cottage Rose. The bag is a Woodware made from recycled craft and I like the string handles that these bags, but Debs has improved on that by wrapping the handles with organza ribbons. Debs has randomly stamped the rose on the bag with the Onyx  Black Versafine and then coloured with Tombow pens.

Crafty Debs has used the border from the Cottage Rose set to stamp up the side of the bag.

Don’t those leaves look real in the close up? Debs has used the round doilies not only on the corners of her bag but also on the tag. The tag is a luggage label and as well as stamping the Cottage Rose Crafty Debs has also used the white self adhesive lace, some buttons and Frantage mica flakes in Tea stain.

so lost of places for you to pop to today, check out what Crafty Debs has to say, on her new look blog, and don’t forget to check the Crafty Card Makers blog to see what their design team has come up with.

Thank you for visiting us I hope that you will be able to play along with us.

  1. I love that idea of wrapping the ribbon around the string handles – it makes them so much more sturdy! I’m also now coveting that rose stamp – it looks really cool as a background, but could easily be a lovely centrepiece….
