Woodware Challenge – Week 93 – Spring Blooms

This week it should be spring, but my snow drops and daffodils are struggling through the snow at the moment, hopefully Siobhan the Recovering Stampaholic’s bloom will warm things up at least inside.

Siobhan has created a very fresh looking card. The flower is the Magenta Ornamental Onion Tile. Siobhan has used Tombow pens to colour directly on to the stamp and then spritzed it lightly with water, before stamping.

This gives a soft but fresh feel to the finished card.

The background is a very clever ghosting resist technique, which Siobhan found in the Magenta “Paper Magic” book. The stamp that Siobhan has used for the background is the very pretty and useful Magenta Shadow Branch stamp which she has stamped with white pigment ink which she has heat set and then blended other pigment inks over the top. Wipe off the excess with a kitchen towel.

The ribbon and the pearls add the perfect finishing touches to the card. Pop over to see what else Siobhan  the Recovering Stampaholic has to say about her card.

Thank you for visiting us see you soon!
