Woodware Challenge Week 44 – Pull Out the Punches – Day 6

We I called her the Queen of Punch and I think that today she lives up to her name! Jane AKA the Flower Girl has gone over board with this one.

This frame is very versatile as you can make it the size that suits your art work. The only thing that you have to remember is that as you are going to fold it up you have to be able to divide the length into 2cm strips. Jane has made a rectangle which is 15cm x 21cm so she has used 4 pieces of card two that are 15cm x 24cm and two 21cm x 24cm. Jane has punched the short edge on all 4 pieces with the Crafty Edger and the Japanese Fan cassette. Then at 2cm intervals score, fold and concertina each piece. They are stuck together like this..

Make up the cover of the book to fit the frame, Jane has made this quite simple so that it does not detract from the inside.

The Best Wishes comes from Jane’s Single stamp Floral Frame

Cut a piece of card fit behind the frame and stamp it Jane has used one of the verses from  her Hours Fly By Clear Magic set.

Well as for the flowers, the best that I can suggest is check out Jane’s blog for where she is going to be teaching! As well as the Glitter Pot she does go traveling around the country. Failing that there are lots of books in the Floral Punch Craft range and I really like the DVD as I can actually see the hand movements so that I can replicate them. The flowers will have been made from not only flowers but balloons, suns and hearts!

Well I hope that you have enjoyed our week of punches. No guest designer this week but I have a little post for you tomorrow and then back to Crafty Debs on Monday.

Thank you for visiting.
