40 Shades of Green! – Day 5

It is the Flower Girl today who is going green and she claims that she has used 40 shades of green but I have not had time to check it out so I will just have to take her word for it!

Jane has made a lovely patchwork background using scraps of green patterned papers, many from the GCD Studio pads but we all have a stash! Jane has used the Green Woodware square 1″ punch to make all of her squres. Over on the Flower Girl Blog she has shared her tips on getting the squares lined up perfectly. One tip is to use Woodware Crafty Glue which comes with a fine tip but you can transfer some to Woodware’s bottles that have a very fine tip.

The flower is a Dahlia which has been made from 44 punched out balloons. You can find the instructions in the Floral Punch Craft Books. The leaves have been made using one of the Floral Punch Craft Punches Fern Family, which gives you three leaves from one punch and so gives you a very realistic set of leaves. The greeting has been stamped on Shrink Plastic and is from Jane’s Essential Birthdays Clear Magic set.

I am off to check that Jane has really got 40 shades of green in here! Why not pop over to the Flower Girl blog for Jane’s tips. Or add your link to your green creation!

Thank you for visiting, see you soon.

  1. Jane has definitely used 40 Shades of Green! Great way to use up those little pieces we all keep & don’t know what to do with. Love as usual Jane’s lovely flower.

  2. A great idea for using up little pieces of patterned paper. I like the hand drawn border around the edge – looks like it has been stitched. I haven’t tried the fine tip glue applicator although we have it in the shop so will have to investigate that further.
